I tried to find the firmware update (it is a Toshiba/Samsung product) I could not find an update for my burner which is a TSSTCORP TS-H653A. I am at a loss, the whole process works fine if I use a CD instead. Note: Some versions of this program include an option to automatically load appendable discs. Insert an appendable disc into your recorder drive.Ĭlick on the Yes button when a message appears on your screen asking if you would like to load the contents of your disc into the active project. To load files into a Data Disc project from an appendable disc: Messages explaining your options will appear on screen as you work. Your choices will depend on the type of disc you are using. If the files are not loaded first, you will not be able to complete your project unless you erase or replace your disc. To do this you must load the existing files from your disc into your Data Disc project before you record any new files.

The Data Disc project can be used to add files to an appendable disc that already contains data.

I did all three things in bold, none of them would work. These are the instructions from the VISTA help section (disc size seems to set automatically).

Under this Agreement, You are obtaining one of the following three types of licenses: ( 1) a “Trial License” which will allow you to use the Software or a premium version of the Software including additional features or functionality (“Premium Trial Version”) free of charge, for a limited period of time designated by Sonic for evaluation purposes only (2) a “Single-User License” which will allow you to use one copy of the Software for Your personal use or (3) a “Volume License” which is a license granted when You have purchased multiple seats to the Software and which will allow you to use the Software on multiple computers at once. The licence says the following, which is clear as mud to me: The about says Roxio Creator DE Version: 9.0.116, but the splash screen says Easy Media Creator 9. I have a new Dimension E521 from Dell, running Vista. I am afraid I actually have some sort of trial or Lite EMC 9, do you think so? People keep using the word Classic, I don't see that anywhere. I don't think I have a way to set the Disc size? I could try a different DVD, but I am afraid I would waste it also. Thanks for the reply, I have gone around with this all day.

I assume your PC is pretty new, but even then I would check to see if there is a firmware update to the burner. – The sequence of the steps should not matter, it is just an old method I used when the sequence was critical to success. As soon as the import pops up, I do the import.

I set the Disc Size then insert the disc. My personal steps in Session writing is to open Classic and choose Data Disc. Of course a Burner must be capable of burning sessions, however most are. Changing the Disc Size to a "DVD 4.7 GB" and it recalculates the Estimated Free Space. Only thing I did notice was that when I started a New Data Disc, it reverts to an "80 min (703 MB)" CD at the bottom of the interface and lists space accordingly. I just wrote 3 sessions to a DVD-RW without a problem… Ejected after each burn and inserted in a different burner. If I put the DVD in and the start the program, or start the program and insert the DVD, either way the data will not load. I then try load disc, again nothing different happens. It then tells me I have a data dvd with 699 MB free (which is not true). I then hit data disc, It offers to let me load the contents into the project, I hit yes. When inserting the DVD it reads the disc and decides that it is an appendable dvd with 3.5 GB free. (on Windows Vista) My Options are set to automatically load appendable discs (And I would like to use the disc for more than one recording is the choice I have set.) Why wont the Roxio Creator DE Version: 9.0.116 load appendable data from a DVD.
